joseph maggitti ~ a tribute

is there harshness in your eyes?
irritation in your voice?
selfishness in your spirit?
indifference in your heart?

47 years. 5 months. 11 days.
if you knew this was all the time you had on this earth, how would you live your life?

would there be more kindness in your eyes?
more patience in your voice?
more generousity in your spirit?
more compassion in your heart?

47 years. 5 months. 11 days.

this is all the time that joseph maggitti was given on this earth. and he was blessed to carry throughout his short life, the wisdom of the golden rule.

do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

husband.
father.
friend.
businessman.
colleague.
coach.

joseph maggitti was one of those rare finds in a human being. he was loved and respected by so very many people, and his absence is deeply felt by not only his family, friends, and colleagues...but by anyone and everyone he came in contact with. he had that kind of spirit. you know the kind, where you always feel welcomed and genuinely respected and cared for. if you knew joe, you had a friend, confidante and encourager, for life.

for joe, family was everything.

he met his wife, pam, in high school, and took her to her senior prom. they would have celebrated 25 years as a married couple on 4 december 2001. ever the romantics, joe and pam planned to return to their original honeymoon destination, Paradise Island in Nassau. their son wrote in a trubite to his father: "he made my mother so happy. i could see it in the way he looked at her."

joe was the head of a peaceful family and household, where family, friends and neighbors were always welcomed. he loved to cook, and anyone who was in the vicinity, was always invited to stay and try his latest creation.

after being a husband, being a father was joe's most important job - clearly one he took seri

Wow, you really seemed to have captured his spirit! Nice job!

I have a tribute up also if you would like to meet another man, not just a victim number.

what a beautiful tribute.

i didn't get to chose "my" who, but once i started researching and reading about him, i don't think i would have chosen anyone else but him.

i think that, by doing this, we bring them into our lives. as if they had really taken part of it, but they do now.

thank you for sharing this beautiful tribute with us, and i invite you and your readers to visit joe anchundia's tribute.

Thank You for this tribute to Joe.

As one of the families affected by 9-11, I believe the best way to honor those who were lost is to make sure that what happened, never happens again.

Wow this really does capture my dad. I'm sorry it took me so long to read this; I just found this while browsing through websites my dad is honored in. You really hit the nail on the head even though you didn't know him personally. He was such a wonderful, Godly man. Thank you so much for this beautiful tribute. I miss him every day.
